Two Jefferson residents, Chris Fouch 24 and Davina Heim 25, died after their car became stuck in a snowbank north of Rippey in Greene County during a blizzard. The car was found with one victim already dead and the other dying shortly after.
The severe cold left 159 weather related deaths since Dec 17, with historic lows from Milwaukee to Kansas City. Snow and outages stranded hundreds from the Dakotas to the Atlantic as governors urged conservation and aid, including Indiana’s National Guard deployment and Washington state emergency.
