Fire causes mattress to be tossed from hotel window
A Cedar Rapids Allison Hotel room fire on a Wednesday afternoon left one mattress missing from the bed. Firefighters reported the mattress ignited by a cigarette and pushed through a fifth floor window toward Fourth Street tracks. Damage remained in the room and to the mattress.
