New legal office to aid Linn and Johnson low income
Legal Services Corp of Iowa opens a Cedar Rapids regional office on January 2 to serve Linn and Benton counties. Four attorneys will handle civil cases for low income clients, while criminal cases are excluded. The staff includes John Cashman and colleagues, with VISTA volunteers aiding outreach and a planned $140,000 two county budget.
