Coralville backs affordable senior housing project plan
Coralville supports a $1.1 million housing project to add over 50 affordable senior apartments at 915 20th Ave on the Lantern Park Care Center site. The Coral Ridge Apartments would include 56 two-bedroom units, 59 underground parking spaces, and on-site amenities with rents from $500 to $1,200. Funding comes from a $750,000 city commitment conditioned on LIHTC approval, a $300,000 Johnson County loan, and expected state tax credits. Construction could start next fall if all approvals are granted.
