City Will Assess Home Owners for Shoveling Walks
Public Improvements Commissioner W. W. Stolba announced that the city will assess snow removal costs against property owners who do not clear sidewalks. Assessments up to three cents per front foot on a five foot sidewalk, or six to nine cents per foot for longer walks, may be levied as a special tax with property taxes. Three men pled guilty to drunk driving charges filed Monday and a fourth man charged with the offense entered an innocent plea. Fined $300 and costs each on pleas of guilty were Earl A.
