Cedar Rapids clock tower earns state grant for Orloj restoration
The National Czech and Slovak Museum and Library in Cedar Rapids received a 42500 grant from the Iowa Economic Development Authority to support renovation of the Orloj style clock tower on Inspiration Place. The 685000 project, funded by CAT grants and local sources, preserves the 1995 61 foot tower with 12 rotating figurines and Czech music. The article also notes city budget survey, City Steps 2030 plan input, and appointments and developments in Cedar Rapids governance and urban projects.
