General Mills Posts Disappointing Quarter Amid Slower Demand
General Mills reports a 9 percent drop in profit and 7 percent fall in sales for the September to November quarter, lowering its outlook for the second half. CEO Ken Powell cites stagnant industry growth and shifts in consumer taste as Yoplait yogurt declines 17 percent in the U.S. and a yogurt portfolio overhaul proceeds amid Greek yogurt competition.
