Bald eagle to be released at Pinicon Ridge Park

A mature bald eagle healed from leg wounds will be released today at 1 p.m. at Pinicon Ridge Park near Central City. The public may attend at the Conservation Education Center. The eagle was found Dec. 5 in a foothold trap near Coggon-Troy Mills and treated at the Macbride Raptor Center in Cedar Rapids. A second eagle remains hospitalized after shotgun wounds found in Muscatine County on Dec. 4.

Hillary Rodham Clinton blasted fresh allegations of her husband’s infidelity as outrageous and politically driven. She said the stories, timed before Christmas, aim to damage President Clinton while Arkansas troopers claimed to have arranged liaisons.
