The piece assesses ABC TV’s strengths despite lacking many smash hit series. It highlights ABC Lasagna viewers loyalty to late night and investigative formats, its robust sports coverage led by Roone Arledge, and the network’s standout film selection and provocative but varied programming as key drivers of enduring relevance.

The list includes actor John Wayne evangelist Billy Graham and Dr. Kenneth Niland, Nixon’s personal physician, amid joint committee scrutiny over how government agencies treated these allies. Forty names overlap with the earlier 216-name list released last summer by the Watergate era panels.
