Saigon refused Pan Am 747 landing rights at Tan Son Nhut so four C-141 transports rushed in to fly 376 GIs home for Christmas. The 747 would have been first jumbo to land in South Vietnam but was canceled after Saigon cited technical issues and runway limits.
