Pavlis Rites Held for Swisher Resident Obituary
Thomas Pavlis died at his son Joseph’s home six miles southwest of Cedar Rapids at 7 p.m. Sunday after a brief illness. Born May 17, 1866 in Litomiss Bohemia, he came to the United States in 1867 and lived in Minnesota Solon Swisher and briefly Oregon and Washington before settling with his son. He married Emma Zalesky in 1895. she died in 1935. Surviving three children two daughters and a son, a brother, six grandchildren. Funeral in Polansky chapel Wednesday at 1 30 p.m. with burial in Bohemian National cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday 7 to 9 p.m.
