D. M. Moore formerly of Cedar Rapids re employment office is named district manager at Des Moines of the reorganized national re employment service in Iowa. Walter Barron also moves to Des Moines as senior interviewer. Effective Jan 1, the move promotes Moore who will oversee federal re employment work in 14 counties amid state bureau consolidation plans.
Sir Charles Kingsford Smith, noted trans Pacific flier, will take off Friday morning from Union Air Terminal in Bur Bank California for an eastward flight. The flight may become an attempt to break the Los Angeles to New York speed record.
