Weekend spree: Cedar Rapids sees eight robberies
Cedar Rapids police logged eight robberies over the weekend, six at busy businesses along First Ave and NE routes. A handgun was displayed in all six business robberies, with investigations ongoing and a surveillance photo to be released. Two nonbusiness robberies involved no weapons and were considered separate.
