Air service gains at Cedar Rapids airport since 1981 report

An air service consultant from Edward MacNeal Associates states Cedar Rapids has improved since December 1981, though issues remain. The biggest change is loss of Ozark flights to Minneapolis and changes in jet service to Chicago. Frontier and Britt maintain strong Denver connections and overall coach fares favor Des Moines on several routes. The airport director says service is excellent and moving in the right direction, with fare gaps largely due to carriers not serving Cedar Rapids.
