Cedar River Reaches December Record Heights
The Cedar River hit 11.75 feet on Friday the highest December level since 1991 and near a predicted 11.8 feet by the National Weather Service. Heavy weekend rainfall caused the rise with 3 to 5 inches in the watershed. Sewer Superintendent Jon Durst expects levels to ease by weekend, and Otis Road SE remains closed as a precaution.
