Head on Crash Near Solon Kills Two in Johnson County
A Friday eve crash on Highway 1 south of 210th Street NE killed Tori Sabin Smith 30 of Mediapolis and Kirk Flom 50 of Solon when Smiths 2013 Dodge Caravan crossed the center line and struck Floms 2017 Kia Sportage. A third person Jose Gomez Avila 20 of Wapello was injured and flown to UI Hospitals. He was not wearing a seat belt.
