Cedar Rapids lawyer named to 6th Judicial District bench
Marsha Beckelman, 53, of Cedar Rapids, appointed by Gov. Tom Vilsack to replace retiring Judge Larry Conmey in Iowa's 6th Judicial District. A private practice attorney with Krug and Beckerman, she specializes in family law and will take the oath within 10 days and resign her practice within 30 days. Beckelman serves on multiple bar and civic boards and has prior awards for mentoring and public service. She earned a B.S. from Illinois State and a J.D. from the University of Iowa.
