Officials Say Barn Fire Result Of Own Action

Clayton County investigators report Roger Dean Cannon died of carbon monoxide poisoning from a car exhaust. Heat from the car ignited hay bales, starting a barn fire at a rural Clayton County site owned by Modern AM X Ray Inc. Dahling rented the barn and lost farm machinery and hay valued about $2,500.

Fall from bunk bed kills former E Iowan

Joseph Bisanz 19, a Indiana University sophomore born in Iowa City, died after falling from a top bunk at the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity house in Bloomington. Relatives say he lost balance, hit a chair, then the cement floor. he was undiscovered for hours before medics arrived.
