Faculty Children Enjoy Coe Christmas Party and Santa Visit

Sixty faculty children and parents attended the Coe College party in Voorhees hall featuring a black light puppet show Santa Claus and carols. Mrs. Fred Petrick led the drama Pup Pets, gifts were exchanged and refreshments served around a Christmas tree. co chairs were Mrs. Irving L. Churchill and Mrs. Marvin Cone.

Ten Camp Fire Girls Complete Child Care Work

Ten Camp Fire Girls preparing for the torchbearer rank completed a child care course led by Miss Diane Marshall. The group—Cora Carlson, Sylvia Blaha, Evanell Manwiller, Janet McFatridge, Margo Mifflin, Lois Paulson, Ruth Schreiver, Joan Slocum, Frances Whetstone and Marilyn Worcester—studied child development, motor changes, play activities, and storytelling for ages two to six, with a visit to the University of Iowa preschool. Kay Halloran and Janet Lewis will receive certificates after a day of nursery school training.
