Cedar Rapids council backs retention bonus for city manager
Cedar Rapids City Council recommends a 25000 annual retention bonus for City Manager Jeff Pomeranz to stay until at least age 65 or until retirement in 2023 or later. The plan totals 131027 paid around March 18 2023 if he remains in good standing. no payout if he leaves early.

Winter commencements spark record high graduates in Iowa
Iowa State University will confer a record 2,449 degrees this weekend as two winter ceremonies return for the first time in eight years. Kevin Burgoni, 22, graduates after a brain tumor delayed him.
