In Murphysboro Illinois Becky Reagan 28 jumped into a 35 foot well to rescue her 4 year old son Charlie after he fell through a rotted cover. Her 8 year old son Timothy Jr guided calls for help and assisted rescuers who pulled Charlie and Becky to safety from the cold water. Deputy Nichols and partner stabilized the scene praising the family’s calm actions as lifesaving.

Farmer Gerald Miller found dead near Creston tractor
Gerald Miller, 51, of rural Creston, was found dead in his farm field two miles north of Creston on Monday by a neighbor, David Johnson, with Miller located beside his tractor. Authorities are investigating the death.

Bullet wounds found on body in Kansas
An Iowa man, Darrell Wayne Calhoun, 39, of Mount Pleasant, was found shot twice in the head along a dirt road about 25 miles northwest of Pratt Kansas. The Kansas Bureau of Investigation identified the victim and noted he had been staying with a relative in Greensburg, about 30 miles south of Pratt.

Hit-and-run victim dies in Des Moines area
Gary Erickson 34 of Fort Dodge died Sunday at a Des Moines hospital from injuries suffered in a Fort Dodge hit-and-run Saturday night. He was struck about 11 45 p m while walking on the west side. Witnesses heard a collision and saw a car flee. The vehicle was found but the driver remains at large with no arrests.

Kenneth C. Willson, 31, of 715 G Ave NW, was identified as the beaten man found Sunday in a Chain Lakes Road ditch. Lt. Dennis Blome said a friend reported him missing Monday. Willson remained in serious condition in St. Luke's Hospital ICU.
