Advance Test Case On Pension Board Costs To January
In Des Moines AP report the Iowa Supreme Court advanced Weston v Jones to the January term to decide whether Floyd county supervisors or the old age assistance commission must pay county pension administration costs. A stipulation by parties and petitions by AGs Edward O Connor and LeRoy A Rader led to the move. A Floyd County injunction bars payment of expenses by the old age assistance board. An early decision aims to allow fund expenditure to cover pension board costs.
