Time running out for happy hours in Iowa
Iowa may move to restrict happy hours as part of a task force recommendation to curb alcohol abuse. Patrick Cavanaugh of the Iowa Beer and Liquor Control Department said a rule-making process could be initiated to seek public comment on possible limits on happy hours, ladies’ nights, advertising, and hours. The liquor council delayed endorsing the recommendations for a month.
