Tim Barrett discovered a 1763 Charlevoix letters book in the University of Iowa Main Library basement. The tome, valued at 3500, was donated to the Charlevoix Historical Society in Michigan, notable for its original Great Lakes map page. The transfer pleased UI officials and local historians alike.
