Meth Lab Fumes Sicken Officers in Cedar Rapids
Four Department of Corrections officers were exposed to fumes after discovering a methamphetamine lab at a Cedar Rapids apartment. Three treated and released, one kept overnight as a precaution. Richard G. O’Brien, 19, of Cedar Rapids, held on $9,750 bond on manufacturing suspicion.

Suspected Marion bank robbers arrested after standoff
Lincoln police arrested Collin McDonald 23 and Tiffany Callahan 20 after a two hour siege tied to the December 5 Farmers State Bank robbery in Marion. FBI tip linked them to other cross state robberies. Officers evacuated two restaurants a store and a motel during the standoff before a SWAT team seized McDonald. Callahan faced compounding a felony charges. Police sought a white man in his 30s and a young woman with long dark red hair connected to a Missouri license plate chase.
