Chicago School Vandal Drive Reduces Window Breaks

The Chicago board of education reports progress in its five year anti vandalism campaign. In 1946 at least 60 799 panes were shattered and last year vandals broke 37 744 panes marking a sharp drop in damage to schoolhouse windows.

Linn County Board of Supervisors Approves Various Budgets and Liens

The Linn County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with Supervisors Epes Sutera and Hood present. They adopted a resolution forgiving a lien in exchange for fifty dollars and dismissed claims against Marek regarding a July 13 1942 to present account. They set delinquent tax collection terms at ten percent and approved secondary road assessment districts with multiple townships listed. The meeting included approval of numerous claims and payroll items and adjourned November 27 1981.
