Scores of boys and girls take part in a colorful production with songs and readings retelling the Christmas story. McKinley School Concert Delights Crowd of 300

Three hundred parents and patrons attended a concert at McKinley School Auditorium. Seventy five pupils, mainly from the senior high, performed under Paul Anthony and Miss Maureen Hamblin. Highlights included an oriental piece In a Persian Market and The Three Trees with a quilting party theme. Proceeds benefit band uniforms.

Playground Events Organized at Polk

An organized playground activity program at Polk school divides each class into two teams led by captains. Four events are featured daily: broad jump, long distance throw, baseball throwing, and soccer. Classes rotate events and captains, starting at 8:30 am and continuing until the last recess. Monitors record best baskets and longest jumps, and after two weeks top scorers compete in an all grade contest.

Wilson Club Plans Holiday Play Christmas Trimmings

The Wilson Club will present the one act comedy Christmas Trimmings Friday morning and evening at Wilson School. Delta Gamma club directs with Pierre Tracey guiding, assisted by Marie Kibler and Charleen Lorenc. Chemist Will Tell Story Of Light To Roosevelt Pupils

Harry White head of A V Color Company will lecture on The Story of Light at Roosevelt junior high Tuesday at 10 30 am. He will display historical lamps and modern inventions including GE high intensity mercury lamps a fog clearing sodium lamp and the grain of wheat lamp used by Dr Chevalier Jackson with his chronoscope. The show features a 30000 watt lamp with 85000 candlepower and the Black Ray giving color demonstrations in darkness.

Dinner training at Wilson eighth graders learn home cook skills

Miss Sara Ann Brown's eighth grade food classes at Wilson prepare family size dinners. In November the 12B banquet honoring football players was prepared, and in December the girls hosted a dinner for the P. T. A. health department. The menu was planned and food prepared in class period.
