Experts testify on Lasley’s claimed insanity in double murder
Psychologists testified Gordon Lasley Jr believed his parents caused his diseases and that he was doomed by a hex or bad medicine. Des Moines clinician Konar stated Lasley shows paranoid schizophrenia while Ertz cited delusional disorder and a brief psychotic episode the night of the killings at the Meskwaki Settlement home in Tama. The trial, ongoing in U.S. District Court, centers on insanity defenses and credibility of psychiatric evaluations.
