Prof. Arthur Miller warned government agencies, employers, bill collectors and others might become customers for such specialized lists, raising privacy concerns as fast computer access expands beyond credit data. He also suggested computer manufacturers or telecom sectors could enter the field, potentially lowering costs for data collection and pressuring existing providers.
