All 750 American hostages to be freed this week

Western hostages including about 175 Americans flew from Baghdad to Frankfurt on Sunday as Iraq began releasing foreign captives. The Americans would stay in area hotels and some go to an Air Force hospital before possibly returning to the United States.

Lech Walesa, Solidarity leader, swept to a 77 to 23 percent victory over Stanislaw Tyminski in Poland's first popular presidential election.
