Majors Likely to Move Slowly In Search for Landis Successor
Washington insight notes baseball owners will delay selecting Judge Landis’s successor for months or even a year. A secret meeting of 16 club owners signals caution, favoring advisory input from leaders like O’Connor Harridge Frick and elder statesmen. Many fear a rushed choice and expect a baseball man from within the ranks to lead, possibly a writer like Ford Frick or Jim Farley.
