United Way of East Central Iowa awarded 216200 to 16 nonprofits in Benton Cedar Iowa Jones Linn and Washington counties. Grants support new or existing health and human service programs for seed funding system building or short term needs.

Corridor grants fund historic sites in Iowa Corridor
The Iowa State Historical Society awarded over 850000 in historic preservation grants across the state including 786460 in Historic Site Preservation Grants and 66916 in Certified Local Governments grants. In the Corridor grants, Grant Wood Studio in Cedar Rapids received 100000 for roof and exterior restoration while Linn County gained 10000 for Phase II testing of archaeological sites.
