The flower lady of Battalion 9 lends order after tragedy
A quiet New York volunteer known as the flower lady tends the World Trade Center memorial firehouse. Nightly she weeds and preserves donated flowers and gifts, creating order amid grief for Battalion 9 firefighters and honoring fallen heroes. Her work grows from a simple act to a broader effort to exhibit and protect the outpouring of national grief.
