Wedderspoon Cleared by Labor Dept on Sewage Controversy
Cedar Rapids plant operator Steve Wedderspoon, suspended over his claim that raw sewage was dumped into the Cedar River, received a Labor Department finding Friday that supported his charge. The decision orders back pay for the 40 hours of suspension and removal of negative notes from his file. The city may appeal within 15 days. Wedderspoon says he was vindicated and that the department ruled he told the truth.
