Iowa lines aim to create the longest continuous non toll Interstate drive in the nation. The Iowa Highway Commission plans to open two segments linking LeClaire to Council Bluffs, giving 320 miles of uninterrupted I 80 travel including a stretch with I 99.

Services Monday for Decorah Soldier Jerome Jensen
Decorah services will honor Pic. Jerome Jensen 22 found dead Monday at Fort Belvoir Virginia. Authorities say he apparently took his own life. He entered the Army in August 1965 as a lab technician. Survivors include his parents seven brothers and two sisters. Rosary will be Sunday at 8 p.m. at Steine Funeral Home. Service is Monday at 10 a.m. at St Benedict's Church.
