Hedeman Overcomes Doubt Aims For Fourth State Title
Union Community senior Jace Hedeman shifted from finals heartbreak to a relaxed, focused approach at the Cliff Keen Independence Invitational. He went 6-0 with three technical falls including a 19-3 win over C J Davis to claim the 132 pound title and Outstanding Wrestler honors as Alburnett won the team title 348 to Carlisle’s 308.5. Hedeman seeks his fourth state crown after 2022 106 and 2023 113 titles, while teammate Rowdy Neighbor and rivals battled for runner up spots and top honors across weight classes.
