The Benton County Board of Supervisors approved a 5000 contract with Clais Coon and Associates of Blair Nebraska to conduct a cost analysis on privatization. Preliminary studies suggest potential savings of at least 100000 annually and a four phase process could raise total fees to 20500 for subsequent steps. Privatization would allow facility residents to access state and federal disability funds not available in a county operated facility.
