Bond issue considered for Handicapped unit
Linn County officials weigh funding a new Handicapped Systems workshop with a bond issue rather than leasing. The Health Center Board backed a lease at 129204 annually from 1901 First Avenue Corp, while county figures suggest building could cost about 902500. County may seek Cedar Rapids land for about 25000 near Oak Hill area for site. County Supervisor Joe Rinas urges community input before site decisions.

County eyes bond issue for Handicapped Systems project
Linn Auditor Merle Kopel outlines a 15 year bond option to fund Handicapped Systems projects with Squaw Creek and downtown workshops. A bond would save taxpayers on lease costs and lead to county ownership, though debt service would run about 97 073 dollars annually at 7 percent. An election would cost roughly 10 000 dollars and ownership would accrue at the end of the period if bond funding is chosen.

A concise aphorism attributes hatred to the heart and contempt to the head, noting both emotions often lie beyond full control. The quote by Arthur Schopenhauer frames these feelings as universal but not easily governed by will.
