U S District Court appoints C R judge Stephen Jackson Jr. to the Southern District of Iowa becoming a magistrate. He will leave the state bench February 2 and begin the new role February 3, working from Davenport while serving the district. Jackson, 48, is a Notre Dame and Iowa Law School graduate who practiced with his father in Cedar Rapids before joining the state bench in 2010.
