Cedar Rapids man sentenced for sharp object assault and domestic abuse
A Cedar Rapids man, Jerry Matthews, 29, was sentenced to five years after a January attack on his ex girlfriend. He was convicted of aggravated misdemeanors and a felony for injuries from a dangerous item and intent to inflict serious harm. He remains on 10 years parole for a prior sexual offense.
