Controversial Klan robe statue removed at UI Pentacrest
A 7-foot Ku Klux Klan robe artwork by Serhat Tangolacar was displayed briefly on the University of Iowa Pentacrest before protestors gathered at Jessup Hall and the Bijou Cinema. It was removed around 10:30 a.m. for lacking a permit, with UI officials condemning racism and expressing commitment to inclusion.
