Solon to Increase Law Enforcement Costs in 2012
Solon council heard that the 2012 law enforcement contract will rise to 59 640 from 52 824 annually with hourly rates up from 31 to 35 and deputy sheriff wage at 27 45 before benefits. Sheriff Lonny Pulkrabek said the increase lasts two years and provides value as cars fuel and equipment are not charged. Council also eyed water and sewer rate and salary hikes for 2012 with prior year increases noted. A Dec 15 meeting at 5 30 p m will continue discussions.
