Hijackers Hold 115 as Kuwait Airways Jet Lands in Iran
At Mehrabad Airport in Tehran the Airbus A 300 remained hijacked with more than 100 passengers and crew aboard. One American passenger was killed and a body was thrown from the plane after shots were fired. 46 passengers were freed unharmed, while others remained hostage as Iran and Kuwait pressed for negotiations.
