Protesters mark Bhopal anniversary with vigils and mock funeral
About 1,500 survivors and supporters marched to the gates of the former Union Carbide plant in Bhopal demanding justice for gas disaster victims. A mock funeral for Union Carbide chief Warren Anderson was staged with an effigy burned. Dow Chemical faced calls to clean up the ruined site and compensate victims.
