A 1908 1914 Sears Roebuck style visitors center will be built at Ushers Ferry Historic Village near the main entrance with a state historic site grant of 51270 matched by city funds. The center will exhibit Usher family history, house a gift store, restrooms and offices with construction expected to start next spring and finish in 2002.
