A 5 year old bay mare sold for $129 to Everett Spear of Stanwood. Weather and road conditions limited attendance but bidding remained spirited.
An order to show cause why the canvassing board should not be permanently restrained from issuing a certificate of election to Thomas H. Moodie was issued by District Court Judge Fred Jansonius. A temporary restraining order also barred certification. The case, challenging Moodie's residency and other qualifications, heads toward the state supreme court with potential implications for acting governor Ole H.
