Father condemns teen in fatal Iowa City crash
In a Iowa City courtroom on Monday a grieving father, Matt Russell, condemned 18 year old Elijah Seals and peers for drag racing that killed his daughter Jennifer Russell on May 27 2028. Seals received a three year probation under a plea deal and was ordered to pay 150000 restitution. The case centers on a high speed collision at S Seventh Avenue and E Court Street that killed 22 year old Jennifer after Ford and Seals swerved into her stopped vehicle. Seals will have his license suspended and may face harsher action if probation violated. Jennifer worked at Jethro's BBQ in Coralville. The Russell family criticized the Alford plea and demanded stricter penalties for such deaths. The Feb 11 trial for Kesean Ford remains set.
