Cedar Rapids Opens Final Four Miles of Highway 100 Extension
Cedar Rapids Mayor Brad Hart cuts the ribbon with City Council members and Iowa Department of Transportation officials to open the last four miles of the Highway 100 extension near Covington Road. The eight mile project cost about 200 million dollars and debuted the public segment two years after the first half opened. Amanda Reedy of Cedar Rapids walked the new road and said the extension will ease visits to her family in Ames.
