Davenport barge worker drowns in Mississippi River
Craig Smith, 26, of Davenport, fell into the Mississippi River in southern Scott County early Thursday. The Buffalo Fire Department recovered his body about 50 yards downstream at 5:40 a.m. He wore a life jacket at the time of the accident.
