First Meeting Of Wally And Edward At Coronado Ball
A 1920 Coronado Beach event linked Wallis Simpson and Prince Edward during a hotel ball. The narrative recalls Mrs Thelma Furness introducing them and Wallis’s later marriage to Earl Winfield Spencer as she formed lasting San Diego friendships. It notes a royal tea and a grand dinner at the Hotel del Coronado and Wallis’s continuing charm on the Pacific coast.
